The Basanta-Martín Collection is one of the most important worldwide: more than 4,000 Nativity groups and 25,000 figures from 158 countries, with pieces dating from the 18th century to the present, crafted in over 200 materials such as clay, wood and glass.

This extraordinary collection bears witness to the work of great artisans from different eras and to the passion for Nativity art of Antonio Basanta and María de los Ángeles Martín, who began collecting these pieces in 1977. Each Christmas, they select some of their finest groups to display in various districts of Madrid.
