Nativity Scenes from the Museum’s Collection

Stage director and scenographer Juan Sanz has selected pieces not usually displayed—small treasures of the collection—and proposes a multi-perspective experience extending beyond the main Nativity figures. The scenographic techniques create a special atmosphere, inviting visitors to contemplate a multi-scaled narrative.

The Neapolitan figures are arranged in three scenes where the Magi and shepherds appear beside the Holy Family, beneath a baroque cloud filled with angels and cherubs of remarkable artistic quality. This display places special emphasis on lesser-known pieces from the museum’s Neapolitan collection, through a contemporary reinterpretation of the light of the Star of Bethlehem.
